“A Christmas in Tent City” received a SILVER REMI Award for Creative Excellence at the 42nd Annual WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.

WorldFest is one of the oldest and largest film & video competitions in the world, with more than 4,500 category entries received from over 35 countries.

Francisco Jiménez

Francisco Jiménez emigrated with his family to California from Tlaquepaque, Mexico, and as a child he worked in the fields of California. He received both his master’s degree and his Ph.D. from Columbia University and is now chairman of the Modern Languages and Literature Department at Santa Clara University. He is the award-winning author of “The Circuit”, “Breaking Through”, “La Mariposa”, and his newest novel, “Reaching Out”. He was selected the 2002 U.S. Professor of the Year by CASE and Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
